Honoring children over the Lord

“Why do you honor your sons more than Me?” —1 Samuel 2:29 NIV Eli was the High Priest.  His two sons, Hophni and Phinehas served as priests in the tabernacle.  “The sons of Eli were corrupt; they did not know the LORD” (1 Sam. 2:12)  How corrupt were they?  The stole the offerings the people brought as tokens of worship (v.16), and they abused the women who came to worship (v.22).  The result was that the people abhorred worshiping...

Being used by God is not the same as being aproved by God

For behold, you shall conceive and bear a son. And no razor shall come upon his head, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb; and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines." Ending Frivolous Law Suits

If a false witness rises against any man to testify against him of wrongdoing, then both men in the controversy shall stand before the LORD… if the witness is a false witness, who has testified falsely against his brother, then you shall do to him as he thought to have done to his brother; so you shall put away the evil from among you. Deuteronomy 19:16-19 Civil law courts are overloaded and bogged down in our land today as people abuse the system in hopes of getting rich by suing...

Our Great High Priest

And Aaron shall bring the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house, and shall kill the bull as the sin offering which is for himself. Leviticus 16:11 On the Day of Atonement, before the high priest could offer a sacrifice for the people, he had to offer a sacrificial sin offering for his own sin and for the sins of his household.  Only then could he offer a sin offering for the people.  This happened every year.  And...
