Purpose Statement
Motivated by the love of Christ, and empowered by the Holy
Spirit, New Tribes Mission exists to assist the ministry
of the local church through the mobilizing, equipping,
and coordinating of missionaries to evangelize unreached
people groups, translate the Scriptures, and see indigenous
New testament churches established that truly glorify
God.

1.
Survey / Moving In
We study a remote people group and prayerfully consider starting
a ministry in that location. Many criteria are considered, including
whether the people want missionaries to come and live and work
among them and whether any other evangelical missionaries are
working with them.
We move into a tribal location and get established. This means
building a house and bringing in personal equipment by plane,
boat or trail.
2. Language and Cultural Study
We study the language and culture of the people, and build relationships
with them. It’s vital to not only know how to speak their
language, but to also clearly communicte God’s message
to them. We need to establish these relationships before they
listen to what we share.
3. Mentoring / Discipleship
We teach literacy. The people need to be able to read the Bible
in their own language for the church to be truly established.
Only through the work of the Word in the lives of the believers
can God raise up the leaders for the church.
4. Teaching
The Bible is taught chronologically, from Creation through the
Resurrection of Christ. This allows the truths of the Bible to
be established in the hearts of the people, step-by-step, the
way God presented His Word to the world.
5. Belief / Infant Church
People place their faith in Christ as the Holy Spirit works in
their hearts. A church is established according to New Testament
principles, and Scripture is translated.
6. Continuing Church
Leaders are ordained. As the new church becomes self-sustaining,
our involvement decreases.
Believers go out from the new church as missionaries. The natural
outgrowth of a church involves the desire to share God’s
Word with others as it was freely shared with them. |
